Referral Programme & Wallet Terms

Who can refer, how referral codes work, £5–£50 rewards, RoadLux Wallet credit, redemption and fraud rules.

1. Who can refer

The RoadLux Referral Programme is available only to customers with an active RoadLux+ membership. If a membership lapses, cancels or fails payment, referral links stop qualifying for new rewards immediately.

A referred friend must be a new RoadLux customer who has not previously held a RoadLux account.

2. Referral codes and links

Each member is issued a unique referral code and link. A code locks as soon as it is successfully used, and a new code is issued automatically so you can keep referring.

Codes must not be posted to coupon, cashback or discount-aggregation sites, or used in paid advertising that targets RoadLux brand terms.

3. Rewards

Qualifying referrals earn a randomly allocated reward between £5 and £50, credited to your RoadLux Wallet. Reward values are weighted, so higher amounts are awarded less frequently. The allocated amount is final.

A referral qualifies once the referred friend's RoadLux+ membership payment has cleared and any applicable cooling-off period has passed. Rewards are shown as pending until then.

4. RoadLux Wallet

Wallet credit is a promotional balance, not electronic money. It has no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, sold or transferred, and is not refundable.

Credit can be applied to eligible RoadLux services (for example aircon servicing, recovery, parts and vehicle history checks) by submitting a redemption request, which RoadLux reviews before it is applied.

Credit expires 12 months after it becomes available unless stated otherwise. Wallet balances are cancelled if the account is closed or found to be fraudulent.

5. Fraud, abuse and adjustments

Self-referrals, duplicate accounts, fake identities, shared payment methods used to manufacture referrals, and any attempt to manipulate the reward engine are prohibited.

RoadLux may hold, reverse, cancel or adjust rewards and wallet balances where abuse is suspected, where a referred membership is refunded or charged back, or where a payment fails. All actions are recorded in an audit log.

RoadLux may suspend a member from the programme for abuse, without affecting their membership benefits.

6. Changes to the programme

RoadLux may change reward bands, eligibility rules or withdraw the programme at any time. Rewards already available in your wallet are not removed by a programme change, except where fraud or a reversed payment applies.

55. Payments

RoadLux may use payment service providers such as Stripe.

Payment is confirmed through appropriate server-side/payment-provider processes. A browser success page alone is not treated as proof of successful payment.

RoadLux protects against duplicate:

  • charges
  • subscriptions
  • Vehicle Check Credit grants
  • promo redemptions
  • purchases

56. Refunds & cancellation rights

Nothing in these Terms removes rights customers have under applicable consumer law. Rights can differ depending upon:

  • goods/services/digital content supplied
  • how the contract was made
  • whether performance has begun
  • whether the customer expressly requested immediate performance
  • whether applicable statutory cancellation requirements have been satisfied

RoadLux does not use generic “no refunds” wording to override statutory rights. Where immediate digital supply or performance affects statutory cancellation rights, RoadLux obtains the express request, consent and acknowledgement applicable law requires at the appropriate stage.
