Terms & Conditions

Version 2026-08-09 · Last updated 8 August 2026

Terms & Conditions

The full terms that apply to your RoadLux account and every RoadLux service.

These Terms apply when you create a RoadLux account or use our websites, app and services. Service-specific terms may also apply and form part of the agreement for that service.

1. About us

RoadLux is a trading name of ROAD LUX LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales.

Company number: 08837891. VAT registration number: 406 5589 81.

In these Terms, “RoadLux”, “Road Lux”, “Road Lux Ltd”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Road Lux Ltd unless the context requires otherwise.

These Terms apply to services supplied directly by Road Lux Ltd through the RoadLux website, RoadLux app or other RoadLux customer channels.

Certain services may also have additional service-specific terms, booking conditions, authorities, quotations or agreements. Where additional terms apply, they form part of the agreement for that service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or replaces any consumer right or remedy which cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Company details

  • Registered office: Kamp House, 124 Middleton Road, Morden, England, SM4 6RW.
  • Customer service email: support@roadlux.uk.
  • Privacy and data-protection email: support@roadlux.uk.

2. Services

RoadLux may provide, offer, facilitate or arrange services including:

  • Vehicle History Checks
  • Vehicle Check Credits
  • Vehicle Check bundles
  • RoadLux+ membership
  • vehicle air-conditioning services
  • mobile vehicle air-conditioning services
  • Bring My Car to You air-conditioning services
  • air-conditioning leak/fault investigation
  • home air-conditioning services
  • accident assistance
  • vehicle recovery
  • vehicle storage
  • accident repairs
  • repair estimates
  • courtesy/replacement vehicle arrangements where eligible
  • We Buy Your Car
  • parts enquiries
  • vehicle reminders
  • RoadLux AI
  • vehicle/account management
  • bookings
  • Vehicle hire services when activated
  • promotional offers
  • member benefits
  • other automotive services introduced by RoadLux

Availability depends on the particular service and may be affected by location, vehicle, customer eligibility, capacity, supplier availability, insurance arrangements, weather, safety and other circumstances. The presence of a service within the RoadLux app or website does not by itself guarantee availability.

3. Customer responsibilities

Customers must provide information that is accurate to the best of their knowledge. Depending upon the service, this may include:

  • name
  • email
  • telephone number
  • vehicle registration
  • vehicle information
  • mileage
  • location/postcode
  • service requested
  • vehicle condition
  • accident information
  • insurance information
  • payment information
  • photographs
  • documents

Customers should tell RoadLux if material information changes before a service is provided. RoadLux may rely reasonably on information supplied by the customer when arranging or providing a service. Nothing in this provision removes RoadLux’s own legal responsibilities.

4. Prices

The applicable price for a RoadLux service will be displayed or communicated to the customer before the relevant transaction is confirmed.

Where RoadLux states that a price includes VAT, applicable VAT is included.

RoadLux may change prices for future purchases and bookings. A later change to RoadLux’s advertised price does not automatically change a fixed price already contractually agreed for an existing booking.

Where additional work is identified after the original booking, RoadLux may provide a separate quotation or request approval before carrying out additional chargeable work.

5. Future price changes

The costs associated with providing RoadLux services may change. These may include changes in:

  • refrigerant costs
  • parts
  • consumables
  • supplier costs
  • labour/operating costs
  • fuel
  • taxes
  • duties
  • regulatory costs
  • environmental/disposal costs
  • product availability
  • shortages

RoadLux may therefore change prices applicable to future bookings or purchases. The current applicable customer price must be shown or communicated before the customer confirms the relevant transaction. RoadLux should not use this provision as an unrestricted right to retrospectively increase a fixed price already contractually agreed.

6. Vehicle air-conditioning

RoadLux provides vehicle air-conditioning services including mobile services and services where a customer brings their vehicle to an agreed RoadLux service location.

The RoadLux customer journey does not describe the agreed service location as a workshop, RoadLux workshop, garage, RoadLux garage or branch, unless RoadLux genuinely begins operating it as such.

Mobile Service

  • We come to you.

Bring My Car to You

  • Bring your vehicle to our agreed service location.

7. Current standard aircon pricing

R134a

  • £55.00 up to 500g
  • Additional refrigerant above 500g: £10.00 per additional 100g where applicable

R1234yf

  • £89.99 up to 500g
  • Additional refrigerant above 500g: £15.00 per additional 100g where applicable

Mobile Service

  • £14.99

The £14.99 Mobile Service fee is displayed before the customer confirms a mobile booking.

8. RoadLux+ aircon prices

Eligible active RoadLux+ members receive member Vehicle Aircon pricing from Day 1 of active membership.

R134a

  • Standard: £55.00 up to 500g
  • RoadLux+: £49.99 up to 500g

R1234yf

  • Standard: £89.99 up to 500g
  • RoadLux+: £79.99 up to 500g

These are current prices rather than a contractual promise that the monetary amounts can never change. Any future price will be shown before the relevant future booking is confirmed.

9. RoadLux+ aircon add-ons

RoadLux+ members may receive substantial member discounts on eligible Aircon add-ons. Eligible add-ons and discounts may change.

Where available, RoadLux displays the Standard Price, the RoadLux+ Price and the Member Saving.

RoadLux does not promise that every add-on will permanently have the same percentage discount unless RoadLux specifically creates that promotion.

From Day 1 of an active RoadLux+ membership, the Antibacterial Air Conditioning Treatment is supplied free of charge (£0) with every paid R134a or R1234yf regas. It is not charged as a paid add-on to eligible members and cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.

10. £25.00 mobile aircon service charge

A £25.00 service charge applies where RoadLux attends a mobile Vehicle Aircon booking but the requested air-conditioning service cannot appropriately be completed because of an existing fault, condition or problem with the vehicle or air-conditioning system.

This may include an existing mechanical, electrical or system fault that prevents the booked service from being appropriately carried out.

The £25.00 service charge is clearly disclosed before the customer confirms the mobile booking. It is not first introduced after RoadLux has attended.

The £25.00 charge is a service/attendance charge applicable in the defined circumstances. It is separate from the normal price of a successfully completed regas.

Nothing in this provision removes statutory rights or remedies where RoadLux itself has failed to provide a contracted service with the legally required reasonable care and skill.

11. Aircon system condition

A refrigerant recharge/regas does not repair an underlying defect. Problems may involve:

  • refrigerant leakage
  • compressor
  • condenser
  • evaporator
  • pressure sensor
  • relay
  • fan
  • expansion valve
  • seals
  • pipework
  • electrical wiring
  • control units
  • other components

RoadLux does not guarantee that regassing a vehicle will correct a separate mechanical/electrical defect.

12. Aircon leak detection

RoadLux may use appropriate methods including:

  • UV dye
  • UV inspection
  • electronic leak detection
  • pressure testing
  • other appropriate diagnostic methods

Some leaks can be identified immediately. Small, intermittent or location-dependent leaks may take longer to become detectable. UV dye may require refrigerant/oil circulation before evidence of a small leak becomes visible. Where RoadLux asks a customer to return for an agreed follow-up dye inspection, that follow-up inspection does not automatically include free parts, refrigerant, labour or repair unless specifically agreed.

13. Refrigerant type and quantity

Customers should provide the correct vehicle registration/details. Refrigerant type and system capacity vary by vehicle.

Where additional refrigerant is required beyond an included amount, the applicable additional refrigerant rate may be charged.

RoadLux uses appropriate vehicle information to determine the applicable refrigerant where reasonably possible. If vehicle information or labelling conflicts or is unclear, RoadLux may require further verification.

14. Bookings

Submitting a booking request does not necessarily mean the booking has been accepted. Where RoadLux confirmation is required, the appointment becomes confirmed when RoadLux confirms it.

Customers should provide accurate:

  • contact information
  • registration
  • vehicle
  • postcode/location
  • requested service
  • relevant fault information

RoadLux may contact the customer where further information is required.

15. Appointment times

RoadLux will make reasonable efforts to attend confirmed appointments as arranged. Timing may be affected by circumstances such as:

  • traffic
  • previous jobs overrunning
  • breakdowns
  • equipment faults
  • weather
  • unsafe working conditions
  • unexpected vehicle problems
  • events outside reasonable control

Unless expressly guaranteed in writing, estimated arrival times should not be interpreted as a guarantee of arrival at an exact minute. RoadLux takes reasonable steps to notify customers of material delays or changes.

16. Vehicle History Check

RoadLux provides Vehicle History Checks using vehicle information obtained from connected third-party and/or official data sources.

Depending upon availability, a report may include information concerning:

  • stolen records
  • insurance stolen information
  • outstanding finance
  • insurance write-off history
  • write-off category
  • salvage history
  • scrapped status
  • certificate of destruction
  • import/export
  • registration changes
  • keeper history
  • mileage
  • mileage discrepancies
  • MOT
  • vehicle identity
  • VIN information
  • engine information
  • V5C information
  • valuations
  • vehicle specifications
  • emissions
  • fuel economy
  • tax information
  • other available vehicle information

Not every category is necessarily available for every vehicle.

17. Vehicle history data limitations

A Vehicle History Check is an information service. It is not:

  • a physical vehicle inspection
  • a mechanical inspection
  • an MOT
  • a warranty
  • a guarantee of roadworthiness
  • a legal opinion
  • a guarantee that a vehicle has never been damaged
  • a guarantee that every incident has been recorded
  • a guarantee that all mileage is genuine
  • a guarantee that every third-party database is complete
  • a guarantee that the vehicle is suitable to purchase
  • a guarantee of future condition

Customers considering purchasing a vehicle should make appropriate additional checks. RoadLux will provide its contracted service with the care required by applicable law, but information originating from third-party databases may depend upon the accuracy and completeness of information supplied to those databases.

18. Unknown vehicle history data

RoadLux distinguishes:

CLEAR

  • No relevant record found in the available data.

ADVERSE

  • Relevant adverse record found.

INFORMATION

  • Relevant information recorded.

UNKNOWN

  • Information not available.

Missing or null data is not converted into a green PASS.

19. Write-off categories

Where a data source returns a write-off category, RoadLux shows the actual returned category. RoadLux does not guess a write-off category.

Where a write-off is recorded but no category is supplied, RoadLux shows: “Insurance write-off recorded — Category: Not provided by data source”.

20. Vehicle History Check prices

Current pricing

  • Single Vehicle History Check — £7.99
  • Eligible RoadLux+ Vehicle History Check — £3.99
  • 3 Vehicle History Checks — £12.99 (equivalent to £4.33 per check)
  • 6 Vehicle History Checks — £19.99 (equivalent to £3.33 per check)

The applicable price is shown before purchase.

21. Check packs

A check pack is one transaction that adds a fixed number of Vehicle Check Credits to the customer’s account. A pack is not:

  • voucher codes
  • promo codes
  • separate payments per check

One successfully confirmed pack purchase adds exactly the number of credits stated for that pack. Pack pricing is already discounted, so the RoadLux+ 50% member price applies to eligible single checks only and does not stack with packs.

22. Credit expiry

Vehicle Check Credits expire 12 months after purchase if unused.

Expiry runs from the date of purchase of the pack, and expired credits cannot be reinstated or refunded.

Any change to the expiry period will be clearly disclosed before a future purchase.

23. Using a Vehicle Check Credit

One credit generates one new eligible Vehicle History Report.

Before consuming a credit RoadLux shows “USE 1 VEHICLE CHECK CREDIT?” together with the registration, the vehicle, credits before and credits after, and the options CANCEL or YES, USE 1 CREDIT.

Closing the modal, navigating back or selecting Cancel does not consume the credit.

24. Duplicate credit protection

RoadLux protects against duplicate consumption caused by:

  • double taps
  • page refreshes
  • network retries
  • webhook retries
  • duplicate callbacks
  • server retries

One report entitlement does not unintentionally consume multiple credits.

25. Failed report generation

Where a credit has already been validly reserved or applied to an entitlement and the supplier or API subsequently fails, RoadLux does not intentionally consume another credit simply to retry the same entitlement.

Report generation pending

  • Your Vehicle Check Credit has already been applied. You will not use another credit for this retry.

RoadLux retries the same entitlement where technically appropriate.

26. Saved reports

Successfully completed reports are stored securely as historical snapshots.

A report shows its original checked date/time and its RoadLux report reference.

A saved report reflects information available at the original check time. It is not automatically refreshed.

27. Reopening reports

Reopening an existing completed report does not intentionally:

  • charge again
  • consume another credit
  • redeem another promotion
  • make another Stripe charge
  • create another supplier API call

If the customer wants a newly updated check, that is a new report/entitlement.

28. Report ownership

Reports belong to the purchaser/entitlement holder. They are not globally unlocked by registration.

If Customer A checks vehicle AB12 CDE, Customer B does not gain access simply by searching AB12 CDE. Customer B requires their own entitlement.

29. Guest reports

Where guest Vehicle History Check purchases are permitted, guest reports use secure non-guessable access.

Purchased reports are not publicly accessible using registration alone.

Where RoadLux supports claiming a guest report into an account, appropriate verification occurs before ownership is transferred or linked.

30. RoadLux+

RoadLux+ is an optional paid membership.

Monthly

  • £9.99/month

3-Month Saver

  • £24.99 upfront for the first three months
  • then currently £9.99/month unless cancelled

Before purchase RoadLux clearly displays

  • amount due today
  • membership period
  • renewal amount
  • renewal frequency
  • automatic renewal
  • cancellation method

31. RoadLux+ benefits

Current/eligible benefits may include:

  • 50% off eligible Vehicle History Checks
  • member Vehicle Aircon prices from Day 1
  • FREE Antibacterial Air Conditioning Treatment from Day 1 with every paid R134a or R1234yf regas
  • substantial discounts on selected Aircon add-ons
  • better eligible parts prices
  • lower eligible call-out prices
  • RoadLux+ AI
  • Smart Vehicle Reminders
  • seasonal member benefits
  • priority booking
  • exclusive member offers
  • RoadLux+ Savings Tracker
  • loyalty rewards where offered

Eligibility and availability may apply. “Priority Booking” does not guarantee a specific appointment. “Better Parts Prices” does not guarantee RoadLux is the cheapest supplier in the market.

32. RoadLux+ cancellation

Customers can cancel RoadLux+ through the available account cancellation facility.

Cancellation normally prevents future renewal.

Unless another refund/cancellation right applies, membership benefits may continue until the end of the period already paid for.

Cancellation is not deliberately made unnecessarily difficult.

33. Membership price/benefit changes

RoadLux may change membership pricing or benefits prospectively, subject to applicable law and any notice or consent requirements.

RoadLux does not silently apply a new recurring price where applicable law requires notice or customer action.

Any material change affecting an existing subscriber is handled in accordance with applicable consumer law and the applicable subscription agreement.

34. Promotions

RoadLux promotions may include:

  • free checks
  • fixed-price offers
  • percentage discounts
  • member offers
  • seasonal offers
  • loyalty rewards

Promotions may have

  • eligibility conditions
  • expiry dates
  • usage limits
  • account restrictions
  • service restrictions
  • stacking restrictions

Unless expressly stated, promotions have no cash value. A single Vehicle History Check promotion does not automatically apply to a six-check bundle.

35. We Buy Your Car

The We Buy Your Car service allows a customer to submit a vehicle for RoadLux review. A submission is not a guaranteed purchase offer.

RoadLux does not guarantee:

  • it will buy the vehicle
  • a particular valuation
  • the highest price
  • an instant offer
  • instant payment
  • a specific response time

36. Information for vehicle sale requests

RoadLux may request:

  • customer contact details
  • registration
  • vehicle information
  • mileage
  • mechanical condition
  • cosmetic condition
  • whether it starts/drives
  • warning lights
  • service history
  • keys
  • V5C/logbook status
  • finance status
  • photographs
  • notes

Customers should provide information accurately to the best of their knowledge.

37. RoadLux vehicle purchase offers

An offer may be subject to:

  • inspection
  • identity verification
  • ownership verification
  • documentation
  • mileage verification
  • vehicle condition
  • finance settlement
  • verification of customer information
  • conditions disclosed with the offer

RoadLux may revise or withdraw an offer if the vehicle materially differs from the information supplied or an offer condition is not met.

38. Accepting a We Buy Your Car offer

Selecting ACCEPT OFFER records acceptance of the displayed RoadLux offer/proposal. It does not automatically:

  • transfer title
  • complete the sale
  • settle outstanding finance
  • trigger automatic payment

Inspection, documentation, collection, finance settlement and payment arrangements may still be required.

39. Accident assistance

RoadLux may provide or arrange vehicle-related services following road traffic accidents.

Depending upon circumstances and the activities RoadLux is legally permitted to undertake, services may include:

  • recovery
  • storage
  • vehicle assessment
  • repair estimates
  • repairs
  • courtesy/replacement vehicle arrangements where eligible
  • communications with relevant insurers/parties where appropriately authorised
  • coordination of vehicle-related services

No particular accident or insurance outcome is guaranteed.

40. Client authority & consent

RoadLux may require a separate signed CLIENT AUTHORITY & CONSENT before applicable accident-related services are provided.

The authority identifies the customer, vehicle, registration, incident, date, RoadLux reference, authorised services, relevant permissions, signature and date/time.

Depending upon the authority signed and what RoadLux is legally permitted to do, the customer may authorise RoadLux to communicate with:

  • customer’s insurer
  • third-party insurer
  • engineers
  • repairers
  • recovery providers
  • relevant service providers

A signed authority does not give RoadLux permission to undertake an activity that requires regulatory permission RoadLux does not hold.

41. Accident cost recovery

Where applicable and properly authorised, RoadLux may seek recovery of authorised accident-related charges from the responsible third party and/or their insurer. These may include authorised:

  • recovery
  • storage
  • assessment
  • repairs
  • other agreed vehicle-related services

RoadLux does not guarantee that another party or insurer will accept liability or pay every amount claimed.

42. Customer’s own insurance

Where relevant authorised costs cannot be recovered from the third party or their insurer, and the customer’s signed agreement permits it, RoadLux may seek payment of applicable insured costs through the customer’s own motor insurance where lawful and covered by the policy.

RoadLux does not guarantee that the customer’s insurer will provide cover. The insurer determines the application of the customer’s policy.

Use of the customer’s own insurance may potentially affect matters including:

  • policy excess
  • claims record
  • no-claims discount
  • renewal terms
  • future premium

This depends upon the insurer, policy and circumstances, and is not guaranteed insurer payment.

43. Accident liability

RoadLux does not guarantee:

  • non-fault classification
  • admission of liability
  • third-party insurer acceptance
  • recovery of all costs
  • repair authorisation
  • particular settlement
  • that liability will remain undisputed
  • repair rather than total loss
  • completion within a particular period

Any initial description of a matter as “non-fault” remains subject to the evidence and final liability position.

44. Courtesy / replacement vehicle

For eligible non-fault accidents, RoadLux may be able to provide or arrange a courtesy/replacement vehicle without charge to the customer under the applicable arrangement. This is not guaranteed in every case.

Eligibility may depend upon:

  • accident circumstances
  • liability
  • recoverability
  • licence
  • age
  • insurance
  • provider requirements
  • vehicle availability
  • required vehicle category
  • applicable terms

Courtesy Vehicle Available

  • Available for eligible non-fault accidents, subject to circumstances, availability and applicable terms.

45. Recovery

Recovery depends upon matters including:

  • location
  • access
  • safety
  • vehicle size
  • vehicle weight
  • vehicle condition
  • equipment
  • availability

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, RoadLux does not guarantee a particular recovery arrival time.

46. Storage

Storage charges may apply where a vehicle is stored by RoadLux or an applicable provider.

An intention to recover those costs from an insurer or third party is not a guarantee that the insurer or third party will pay them.

Any circumstance in which the customer could become responsible for payment is disclosed in the applicable customer agreement.

47. Accident repairs

Repair estimates may initially be based on visible or known damage. Additional damage may become apparent after:

  • dismantling
  • diagnostics
  • component removal
  • measurement
  • further inspection

A repair estimate may therefore need to be revised. Material additional customer-funded work is not undertaken without appropriate authority. Where an insurer is paying, work may be subject to insurer/engineer approval where applicable.

48. Total loss

RoadLux does not determine or guarantee whether an insurer will:

  • authorise repair
  • declare a vehicle a total loss
  • determine a particular vehicle value
  • make a particular settlement

If a vehicle is subsequently treated as a total loss, the repair/service arrangement may change.

49. Accident management regulatory limit

RoadLux only undertakes activities it is legally entitled to undertake.

Road Lux Ltd is not described as FCA authorised, an FCA regulated claims management company or equivalent unless its current status and relevant permissions have been verified. FCA branding is not displayed unless legally permitted.

Where an activity requires authorisation RoadLux does not hold, RoadLux does not carry out that regulated activity merely because a customer signed an authority. Where appropriate, the activity may instead be performed by an appropriately authorised or exempt provider under that provider’s own terms.

The FCA currently distinguishes claims-management permissions including lead generation and, in regulated sectors, advising, investigating and representing claimants.

Regulatory position

  • Road Lux Ltd provides vehicle recovery, vehicle repairs, vehicle transport, vehicle storage, accident assistance and courtesy vehicle arrangements (where available), and liaises with insurers and other relevant parties under the customer’s signed authority and consent.
  • Where appropriate and with the customer’s consent, Road Lux Ltd may introduce customers to an independent solicitor or other appropriately authorised professional for legal advice or the handling of any personal injury or other legal claim. Any such legal services are provided by that solicitor or authorised firm under their own terms and regulatory responsibilities.
  • Where liability is accepted or payment is otherwise agreed, Road Lux Ltd may seek recovery of its authorised charges from the responsible third-party insurer. Where recovery from the third-party insurer is not possible, payment arrangements are governed by the customer’s signed authority and the applicable service agreement.
  • Road Lux Ltd carries out only those activities it is legally permitted to undertake. Where a service requires regulatory authorisation or must be provided by an authorised professional, that element is carried out by, or referred to, an appropriately authorised person or organisation in accordance with applicable law.

50. Parts

RoadLux may provide parts enquiry/sourcing services. Customers may provide registration, part, part number, brand, quantity, photographs and notes.

Where the customer specifically supplies a part number and instructs RoadLux to source that item, the customer should check the supplied information.

This does not remove RoadLux’s obligations where RoadLux itself recommends or supplies goods as suitable for a purpose made known to RoadLux.

Parts availability and future pricing may change until an order is confirmed.

51. Home aircon

Home Aircon services may require an individual quotation. The quotation identifies equipment, work, price and material exclusions where relevant.

Additional work outside an accepted quotation may require additional approval.

Manufacturer warranties relating to equipment are separate from RoadLux’s own legal responsibilities for services RoadLux supplies.

52. Hire vehicles

RoadLux Hire Vehicles are currently COMING SOON.

Until activated, RoadLux does not show customers fake available stock, fake prices, booking buttons for unavailable vehicles or misleading availability.

Separate Hire terms will be created and reviewed before live hire begins.

53. RoadLux AI

RoadLux AI is an automated assistance feature. AI responses can contain mistakes. AI output should not be treated as guaranteed:

  • mechanical advice
  • safety advice
  • legal advice
  • insurance advice
  • financial advice
  • professional inspection

Customers should independently verify consequential information.

54. Vehicle reminders

RoadLux may provide reminders for:

  • MOT
  • road tax
  • servicing
  • maintenance
  • other vehicle dates

These are convenience features. RoadLux does not guarantee every reminder will be sent or received. Customers remain responsible for complying with applicable vehicle and legal obligations.

55. Payments

RoadLux may use payment service providers such as Stripe.

Payment is confirmed through appropriate server-side/payment-provider processes. A browser success page alone is not treated as proof of successful payment.

RoadLux protects against duplicate:

  • charges
  • subscriptions
  • Vehicle Check Credit grants
  • promo redemptions
  • purchases

56. Refunds & cancellation rights

Nothing in these Terms removes rights customers have under applicable consumer law. Rights can differ depending upon:

  • goods/services/digital content supplied
  • how the contract was made
  • whether performance has begun
  • whether the customer expressly requested immediate performance
  • whether applicable statutory cancellation requirements have been satisfied

RoadLux does not use generic “no refunds” wording to override statutory rights. Where immediate digital supply or performance affects statutory cancellation rights, RoadLux obtains the express request, consent and acknowledgement applicable law requires at the appropriate stage.

57. Customer accounts

Customers should keep account credentials secure and must not knowingly allow unauthorised access to their account.

RoadLux may reasonably restrict or suspend an account where necessary for:

  • security
  • fraud prevention
  • unlawful activity
  • material abuse
  • serious breach of these Terms

58. Fraud and abuse

Customers must not:

  • create fraudulent payments
  • exploit Vehicle Check Credits
  • abuse promotions
  • manipulate refunds
  • intentionally generate duplicate transactions
  • access another customer’s reports
  • submit malicious material
  • attempt unauthorised system access
  • knowingly impersonate another person
  • use RoadLux for unlawful purposes

RoadLux may investigate suspected abuse and take proportionate action.

59. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation would be unlawful.

Nothing excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Nothing in these Terms affects statutory consumer rights.

RoadLux is responsible for loss where applicable law makes RoadLux responsible.

RoadLux is not responsible for loss caused solely by circumstances outside its reasonable control or by materially inaccurate customer information, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

60. Third-party services

Some RoadLux services depend upon third-party providers.

Where another provider supplies a separate service directly to the customer, that provider’s own terms may also apply.

RoadLux remains responsible for its own obligations and does not use a third-party relationship to exclude liability where the law makes RoadLux responsible.

61. Events outside reasonable control

RoadLux will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances genuinely outside its reasonable control to the extent permitted by law. This may include serious:

  • severe weather
  • road closures
  • infrastructure outages
  • supplier/system outages
  • emergencies
  • governmental restrictions

RoadLux takes reasonable steps to minimise disruption where appropriate.

62. Complaints

Customers may make a complaint to RoadLux. Please provide:

  • name
  • contact details
  • registration
  • booking/report/reference
  • explanation of complaint
  • supporting information where relevant

RoadLux investigates complaints fairly and responds within a reasonable period. Where another regulated provider is responsible for a separate service, that provider’s complaint or escalation arrangements may also apply.

63. Changes to these Terms

RoadLux may update these Terms prospectively to reflect changes in:

  • services
  • law
  • regulation
  • technology
  • business processes

Material changes affecting an existing ongoing contract or subscription are handled in accordance with applicable law and the terms applying to that contract. RoadLux does not silently rewrite the historical Terms version associated with an old transaction.

64. Severability

If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, this does not automatically make every other provision invalid. The remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent legally permissible.

65. No waiver

A failure or delay by RoadLux in exercising a contractual right does not automatically mean RoadLux has permanently waived that right. This provision does not remove statutory customer rights.

66. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers retain any mandatory jurisdiction rights provided by applicable law.
